However, with a dog in the trunk already and my car being the main transportation car for friends and family, I was looking for a cheap and effective way to secure our skiis and snowboards on the roof to make a little more room in the trunk. Instead of spending over $100 on a new rack for the season, I came across these!I got 2 snowboard ones and 1 ski holder. They are quick, easy, effective, safe, and they can still lock with a padlock if you want them to. Not to mention they are easy to store and transport, and I can install them on other cars with a standard rack as well just as easily.The only suggestion I would make, is to instead of using the included safety cord, use a bunjee cord from REI or somewhere. It's makes it THAT much easier.Great product! I told all my friends to get one. Especially for the price. I will be using these until regular ski/snowboard racks go on sale a the end of the season. This product is great on design and material!But it would be even better if it were ~ 1.5" wider so it can be used for wakeboards, i know it is not advertised as a wakeboard roof-rack but i want to use it during the summer too , it fit the children size but not the adults size :( (please make it wider!!!!)Also, i would recommend to have the small round shped rubber piezed that hold the board down to a flat longer piece so the effect of the speed in hwy forcing the board up is more evenly distributed, i mean is clear that the success of this product is on the simplicity but a few engineering touches will make it betterRegards What a great and portable product. I must admit I was nervous about using this portable system and driving 4 hours to the mountain, but it was fool-proof and installed in minutes. I would recommend it to anyone that values their snowboard but just can't fit in inside your car. Can't wait until next season to use it again and again.
